Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player won his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time coach Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since March of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a title is particularly special," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His defensive play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led some to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and play assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
He saved four initial opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
