I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
